WEDNESDAY (44): North America Land and Resources

North America Land and Resources:
As you read about the different regions in chapter 7, use this video to help you visualize all of the landforms and resources of the United States.

Region:
A place with at least one common characteristic that makes it different from the surrounding area. Today we will continue to read about the regions of the United States.

World Geography Textbook:

Read first two paragraphs of page 157.

Partner up with another group (need a total of 4 people)

Divide Chapter 7: Regions of the United States
Section 1: The Northeast (Pages 157-160)
Section 2: The South (Pages 161-166)
Section 3: The Midwest (Pages 167-170)
Section 4: The West (172-175)

Write down the following:
*Title
*Main Idea
*Headings
*Write a sentence that best represents/summarizes each paragraph.
*Answer Section Assessment Questions at the end of the section.
*Write a paragraph answering each reading focus question at the beginning of the section.

IF YOU HAVEN'T ALREADY, PLEASE FINISH TESTING TODAY.

U.S. States:
Learn the U.S. states, capitals, and natural features by playing U.S.A. Games (States-Level 1, Capitals-Level 2, Landscape, Lakes, Rivers, Oceans-Level 1).

Students that want a possible "A" on the test will need to know the location of the states, capitals, and natural features (landscape, lakes, rivers, oceans).

Students that want a possible "B" on the test will need to know the states and capitals.

Students that want a possible "C" on the test will need to know the states.
