WEDNESDAY (60): The U.S. Census and Sampling

Math in Geography?
Whoa! Yesterday we began analyzing data from the U.S. Census and it made some of you look a little perplexed (SEE PHOTO). By looking closely at the numbers we can truly understand the patterns that represent the United States and it's people. Let's get back to work.

Comparative Analysis:
Finish your comparative analysis worksheet. Remember to answer all of the questions (front and back) for the United States, Minnesota, your 280Slides state, and your partners state.

Add to Post #11: According to the U.S. Census:
Write an essay, or two, describing the data you collected about your 280Slides state and how it compares to the United States (comparative analysis). Your essay should contain information about gender, age, median age, urban and rural residence, households, languages spoken at home, school enrollment, educational attainment, and housing characteristics. There should be a total of six categories with at least one sentence per each question in that category. (Example: U.S. to Minnesota).
